Vincent James Mazza, a former broker and registered investment adviser, was barred by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on the allegations of his failure to respond to FINRA’s request for information which is a violation of FINRA Rule 8210, according to an investigation by investor rights attorney, Alan Rosca.
Investor rights attorney Alan Rosca, of the Rosca Scarlato LLC law firm is investigating alleged conduct related to the violation of FINRA Rules by Vincent Mazza in the refusal to respond to FINRA’s request for information. Prior to this allegation, Vincent Mazza was a registered broker with National Securities Corporation from 2006 till 2018, a FINRA member firm. However, he was not in the employment of any firm as at the time this allegation was brought against him in 2019.
Vincent Mazza Barred by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority
According to his FINRA Brokercheck page, Vincent Mazza was alleged to have failed to respond to FINRA’s request for information, and as a result, he was barred indefinitely in all capacities. Owing to his failure to comply with FINRA Rule 8210 on the request for information, FINRA Rule 9552 was invoked against him. This implies that he was allegedly issued a Letter of Notice of Suspension on July 25, 2019 and a Letter of Suspension from Association on August 19, 2019. Pursuant to the provisions of this rule, the respondent, who in this case is Vincent Mazza, had the opportunity to request a termination of suspension within three months of the date of the issuance of the Letter of Notice of Suspension.
Vincent Mazza also allegedly failed to make this request and following from that, Vincent Mazza was allegedly barred from the association indefinitely on October 28, 2019.
Vincent Mazza Has Been the Subject of Various Customer Disputes.
Pending from 2018, Vincent Mazza has a customer dispute brought against him. The client sought $400,000 in damages on the allegations that Vincent Mazza participated in unauthorized trading, breach of fiduciary duty and violation of New Jersey Uniform Securities Law. Vincent Mazza also settled a customer dispute in 2012 for $47,500. The client sought $1,000,000 in damages for alleged negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract.
Another client dispute brought against Vincent Mazza in 2010 was closed. He was alleged to have been involved in unauthorized trading, unauthorized use of margin and allegedly provided poor services and performance. The client sought $5,000 in damages. In 2006, Vincent Mazza also settled a customer dispute for $9,000. The client sought $100,000 in damages for the alleged breach of contract and warranties, unfair trade and deceptive practices, violation of state securities statutes and state fraud statutes.
