Christopher M Roumayeh Has Been Suspended and Fined by FINRA in May 2020
As alleged in FINRA’s Letter of Acceptance Waiver and Consent (AWC), Roumayeh allegedly engaged in two outside business activities between June 2014 and June 2019. Furthermore, Roumayeh and one of his customer’s allegedly purchased a franchise involved in the professional video gaming industry. He also allegedly formed five corporate entities related to the franchise’s operations, in addition to allegedly forming and managing a separate limited liability company by acquiring commercial real estate.
The AWC further alleges Roumayeh participated in private securities transactions by soliciting a publicly traded company to invest approximately $5.5 million in exchange for shares in the Franchise. He allegedly participated in these private securities transactions without notifying or receiving prior written approval from Merrill Lynch.
Without admitting or denying the findings, Christopher Roumayeh consented to the sanction including a 21-month suspension from associating with any FINRA broker firm in all capacities and a $15,000 fine, and solely for the purposes of the proceeding brought by or on behalf of FINRA, prior to a hearing and without an adjudication of any issue of law or fact.

Roumayeh Ordered to Cease and Desist by the State of Michigan
The state of Michigan Regulators recently initiated a sanction against Christopher Michael Roumayeh in February 2021 on the aforementioned allegations of engaging in outside business activities. As a result, Michigan ordered Roumayeh to cease and desist for engaging in dishonest or unethical business practices in the securities industry within the last 10 years, according to a regulatory action reported on his FINRA Brokercheck page.

He was previously registered with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan from November 2008 until July 2019. He was also registered with Citigroup Global Markets in Southfield, Michigan from November 2004 until November 2008.
