Customer Disputes Disclosures Involving Henry Chang
While registered with Morgan Stanley, Henry Chang accompanied by defendants identified as Aftercase Alliance Group, Edin Shar, and Michael Mcquay, allegedly advised customers to enter in a series of investments with certain companies in the cannabis industry, according to a Complaint filed with the Superior Court of the State of California County of Los Angeles.
As reported in the complaint, Chang allegedly directed his customers to invest $109,500 in Aftercare Alliance Group (AAG). He allegedly informed the customers that they would receive a repayment of the money within one year, in addition to a 2.5% interest in AAG and an 8% return per year on the investment.
Persuaded by Chang, the customers reportedly deposited $109,500 (two wires of $80,000 and one wire of $29,500) to Unity Escrow Number 8822 35NK. Reportedly, there have been no interest payments or profit-sharing payments to customers, as alleged in the complaint.
As a result of the misconduct, the customer filed the complaint in January 2021 and it was reported on the Brokercheck as alleging among other things, selling away with respect to outside investments, and as of the date of this article the dispute shows as pending.
Similarly, in October 2020 another customer filed a dispute in the Orange County Court alleging selling away with respect to certain investments.
Henry Chang, as well as defendants Natural Plant Extract of California, Andrew Chen, Jennifer Chen, Imperial Diversified Holdings, Morgan Stanley, Green Ethos Holdings, Emerald Monkey, Northern Lights Distribution, Emerald Dragon, Robert L Hymers, Edward Manolos, and Alan Tsai are facing allegations in the case.
In addition, Henry Chia-How Chang settled a dispute in 2008 for $75,058 on allegations of misrepresentations, as reported on his Brokercheck page.
Investors should be aware that Chang is also a Defendant in an additional complaint filed by the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles. Henry Chang and Defendants, Eric Anches, Edward Manolos, Franco Bruneti, Emerald Monkey, LLC, Long Canyon Property Holdings, and DOES 1-50 face allegations of selling cannabis related investments.

Previously, Henry Chia-How Chang was registered with Morgan Stanley located in Pasadena, California from October 2015 until February 2021. Chang allegedly voluntarily resigned from the firm on allegations about whether he was involved in soliciting outside investments and/or in outside activities, as reported on his Brokercheck page.
